Pics of My Gollies from the 1990 Acrylic Series

There are many Gollies in this series similar to their 1980 counterparts but these are slightly smaller, generally have rounded feet instead of the 1980's distinctive pointed ones and have a thicker gilt edging to them that doesn't make them too attractive!  Each Golly comes in 2 basic varieties: with and without the Robertson copyright backstamp, an example of each type of back can be seen above.

Many fake and unauthorized reproduction Golly badges have no backstamp, so care must be taken when deciding whether a badge with a plain back is a genuine item or not - all I can say is Good Luck!

Other than checking the backs, there are some varieties that can be seen from the fronts of the brooches.
The McGolly variant has a white sporan and tassle (plain back).
The Brownie can be found with an all brown belt (Robertson backstamp).
The Tennis Player comes with blue sleeve ends (Robertsons Backstamp).
And the Policeman comes with his shirt & tie in reverse colours (both Robertson & plain backs).
However, I think the most unusual is the Astronaut which can be found with the eyes to the right (Robertsons backstamp). This is the only Golly badge produced by Robertsons where Golly is looking in this direction.
